About

A practice built for fintech control work in Taiwan

Northfield Risk & Audit grew from internal-audit and remittance-operations backgrounds. We formed the firm to give payment and lending teams an independent reviewer who understands how customer funds actually move.

Mission

We help fintech operators evidence the controls that examiners, banking partners, and investors rely on — with findings written in plain language and remediation owners named.

Origin

The practice began in Taoyuan after repeated requests from finance leads who needed audit-style testing without a statutory financial-statement mandate. Early engagements focused on e-wallet segregation packs; the offer later expanded to AML assessments, licence readiness, and diligence support.

How we work

  • One named engagement partner stays with you from scoping to report delivery
  • Sample plans are written before extracts are opened
  • Draft findings are discussed with management before the letter is finalised
  • We decline work that would impair independence, including bookkeeping for the same client

Values

Independence over volume. Clarity over length. Remediation that finance teams can schedule, not catalogues of vague observations.
