Cookie policy
This page explains what cookies are, which ones this site may use, and how you can manage them. Last updated 28 July 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences, keep essential functions working, and — if you allow — understand how pages are used.
How we use cookies
Northfield uses essential cookies required for basic site operation and consent storage. Optional analytics cookies load only after you accept them via the cookie banner. Rejecting optional cookies does not block access to pages, forms, or engagement information about audits for fintech.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| northfield_cookie_consent | Stores your Accept or Reject choice for the cookie banner | 1 year (localStorage) | Northfield (first-party) |
| nf_session | Maintains basic session integrity for form submissions on hosted environments | Session | Northfield (first-party) |
| _nf_analytics | Aggregated page-view counts when analytics are accepted | 6 months | Northfield (first-party) |
Essential vs analytics
Essential cookies and localStorage keys keep consent preferences and core functionality available. Analytics cookies help us see which field notes and engagement pages are read most often; they are not used for advertising profiles.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts may be requested from Google Fonts; that request can expose your IP address to Google according to their policies. Images may load from Unsplash’s CDN. We do not embed third-party advertising trackers.
Managing or disabling cookies
Use the on-site banner to Accept or Reject optional cookies. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which removes the stored consent key and will show the banner again. Browser controls can block cookies entirely; essential site features such as reading pages will still work, though preference memory will not.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting analytics does not affect requesting an estimate, reading engagement pages, or contacting us. Blocking all cookies may require you to restate preferences on later visits.
